Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

It is not known whether Bactroban (Ointment) appears in breast milk. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment with this medication is finished.

Continued or prolonged use of Bactroban (Mupirocin) may result in the growth of bacteria that do not respond to this medication and can cause a secondary infection.

This drug is not intended for use in the eyes.
